Sue Jin Kim is an educator, writer, and performing artist from Los Angeles, California. She has performed on both television and radio and is an Associate Artist for Tuesday Night Project. Her music is a fusion of her passion for expression and advocacy for women and children. It is her goal to broaden the lens of Asian American talent as portrayed in mainstream media, while representing positive alternatives to female images that currently serve as models in society.
Sue Jin is also the Director of ASES Prep, an academic intervention program in the City of Norwalk, which teaches at-risk youth the fundamentals of social justice and civic action. She has presented at education conferences and shared her pedagogical knowledge with hundreds of new teachers in the field. Furthermore, she seeks to expand her efforts in embedding social justice curriculum into K-12 education because she believes that if you want social justice, you must teach social justice. Sue Jin is currently working on her Doctorate in Education at the University of Southern California.
